Picture and fixed window styles are the most energy efficient of all windows. The picture window with an Energy Rating of 48 and the fixed (picture with sash)  window with a Energy Rating rating of 44. . The picture window will have a slim frame to maximize viewing area and the fixed (picture with sash) will have a larger frame to match the frame (sash) size of a casement and awning.

The custom shaped window styles are made with the same frame as the picture window. Our supplier does have some limitations but most replacement shaped windows can be recreated.
